Jeff Koons brings some of his most iconic and reconigsable art to the Fondation Beyeler in Switzerland. A retrospective of sorts, the comprehensive exhibition aims to highlight the progression of the American artist through the course of the last roughly 30 years.
The showcase is broken apart into three segmentations noted by primarily, “The New,” which highlights Koons’ earliest work from the 1980s era. The second section titled “Banality” is a platforms for his porcelain and wood sculptured pieces. The third and final series is titled “Celebration” and aims to present the high-gloss steel sculptures and large-scale paintings from Koons. The exhibition will be on display through September 2, 2012.
